NOVEMBER 2008

Greetings from cold, rainy Belgium! This will be the typical greeting for the next few months. Winter season is quite gray in this northern European country!

The Lord is at work in Western Europe and we are privileged to be a part of what the Lord is doing on this great Continent. I will mention just three areas this update in which we are seeing the Lord at work.

1. Drue, along with another missionary wife, has begun to reach out to the prostitutes in the port city of Antwerp, Belgium. Many of these ladies are forced into prostitution when they are taken from their countries in Eastern Europe or Africa thinking that they will work as housekeepers, etc. in Western Europe. They arrive in Belgium only to discover that they have been sold as slaves and must work as prostitutes. Drue and April are on the streets of Antwerp on Friday evenings from 11pm until around 4am. They have many open doors into the brothels to share the love of Christ. Would you please pray for their divine protection. The red light districts of Europe are controlled by the Bulgaria, Albanian, Russian mob and divine protection is essential.

Along with evangelizing on the streets, they are working in close cooperation with a local Belgian church that has a heart to minister to these ladies once they are able to walk away from prostitution. Currently, this church ministers to 4 ladies that they provide housing, etc. Drue and April are helping with discipleship and also helping to provide training so these ladies can have marketable skills for work.

2. The work in Les Mureaux, France is advancing. We are committed to helping this church in their renovations. This is a church that was started in one of France's most dangerous cities. It's a storefront church located in the heart of the Arabic market. We are committed to helping this church with it's renovations. Once finished, they will have a sanctuary that sits nearly 400 people! You can log on to our photos to see the work in progress. We are in need of building teams. If your church wants to take a missions trip this year to help with building projects, like Les Mureax, please email us.

3. In December, I will be travelling to Madrid, Spain. I have the privilege of serving with Culturally Diverse Communities within the ministries of Assemblies of God World Missions. We are actively trying to identify and build relationships with Europe's vast immigrant community. In Brussels alone there are over 130 immigrant churches! In Paris the number is over 300! In December we will be speaking at a conference for the Spanish Assemblies of God. They have asked us to share in what we are doing to minister to the African communities in Western Europe. Our struggles as well as successes. They want to be exposed to what God is doing. Please pray with us that we will be able to inspire the Spanish church to step out of their comfort zone and reach all peoples with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Thank you so much for your faithful support and intercessory prayer. Without you... this work would not be possible! Together... we are making a difference on the European Continent!

Your Assemblies of God Missionaries to French-speaking Europe

 December 2007

We remember you, our dear friends and we thank the Lord for your faithfulness in giving and praying. We wouldn't be able to minister in Western Europe without your generous monthly support and intercessory prayer.

Thank you for investing in Western Europe!
